2015 Taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and really enjoy the layout. Since I am not a tax professional or CPA sometimes struggle with finding the right area to enter my data. But I contribute that to only using this file once a year.
What's great about it: Very well layed out for standard returns
What's not so great: Trouble finding some docs for more detail taxes.

I have used TT for years. I have learned a lot, but still do not have enough knowledge to really use the tax code to my advantage.
State verisons require more attention to detail:
1. Some critical info on TT is buried in "more information" buttons; such as states taxation of IRA disbursements. The NJ State version (and states with similar tax laws) should have that as a CLEARLY identified piece of info, with additional info on how to address this on the return. Fortunately I was able to do a 2014 amended return very easily. And have my 2015 return reflect the correct taxable income figures in my return. So while very frustrating, it allowed me to save thousands of dollars.
2. Some data is strictly informational. This should be noted; rather than have a user try to determine the implication that piece of datamay have to the calculations.

What's not so great: Found an item that was under a more information button that was critical and should be more visible

I have used all versions and levels of TurboTax over more than 10 years--- Business included. Easy to navigate. Good Q&A, Revue, and Error Check.
What's great about it: New bank payment/refund options
What's not so great: Option of paying State e-filing fee (online) via credit card --required phone contact to complete

The program meets all my expectations or I wouldn't have re-ordered the software for 2015. The second year is MUCH easier as it transfers all the data from the year before. For example it reminded me of a charity from last year that I overlooked this year. Saved me some more on my taxes. I love that fact that it downloads all my 1099-int and div and gain-loss info from brokerage accounts. What a time saver!!!! Thanks
What's great about it: Step by step guide.

At my part-time job I use QB, the reconciliation is my favorite.

Need some improvement

The premier version is for investments. The input of options and future contracts is cumbersome. The easy step process didn't work correctly for inputing future option contracts and directed me to the form on an "error check" to input additional data. Not many people may have these type of investments but I'm not sure I'll use this product if its going to be this difficult it the future.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: problems with 1099-B option sales and 1256 contracts
