Customer service was superb, with no sense I was being rushed. Together we worked it out ... btw, call EARLY in the AM for minimal wait time. I really like the call back service!
What's great about it: It gave me the time and direction to collect pertinent information
What's not so great: Had an E-File glitch requesting non-existent update

for some reason this year seemed less functional than last year's version. don't know why... always simple and straight forward but this year didn't seem to ask as many questions, etc and didn't seem to reference last years return as often. if you could bring that back that would be nice... even reference a couple of years would be nice...
What's great about it: simple to use and straight forward...
What's not so great: sometimes the question asked, doesn't matched box to fill out

Mostly this is an excellent program. I have used it for many years with good success. This year I did a family member's return that was also done by a CPA firm. We came out very close. Only a $50 difference in the tax bill.
The final steps are a bit clunky. If you want to file your federal return electronically and state return by mail it gets very confusing.
Happy Tax Trails!
What's great about it: Keying in the Data Not too Bad
What's not so great: Printing & Filing a little Clunky

For the past several years, I have received an RK-1 form for Pennsylvania taxes with a positive number in line 6 (Income of/from) estates and trusts. The K-1 form for the payer is all blank. When I try to enter the information for the Pennsylvania PA-40 form, I am told that I must go to the federal 1040. If I enter the information about the payer with all blanks, the information is not passed to the PA-40.
In order to enter the RK-1 value, I must place an incorrect positive value in one of the K-1 fields. Please change turbo tax so that I may enter Income from an estate or trust on my state form with no income being reported on the K-1 form.
Thank you very much for considering the request to remove an irritant.

What's not so great: Must enter non-zero federal K-1 form to enable non-zero

Can you use different file extensions for personal TurboTax vs. TurboTax for business (1120-S). I have both versions installed on my laptop, but when I double-click on my personal file (it has an extension of *.tax2015) it runs TurboTax for business and the program bombs out. This situation has existed for a number of years.
