2015 Tax

The filing process was easy and flawless for my complex taxes. When e-filing program blew up and would not let me file. I had to call and get code from representative to file. That was OK except I had to wait about an hour.
What's great about it: Easy to fill and prepare
What's not so great: Blew up when filing. Had to call and get code waited 1 hour.

State of Local ID Carryover Worksheet-1

If you are wondering why there was an error in the "State or Local ID Carryover Worksheet-1" and Total W/H Payments, it's because you put a certain percentage in the Sales Tax section of your form. If you leave that part blank, then you won't have to fill out the error part of your Taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

got the help we needed

the turbo tax program was easy to install and easy to use. when we were going to file, the federal tax went well. Unfortunately the State did not, so we called the help line. After waiting 59 minutes to speak with a representative, she was very helpful and we were able to work through the problem with her on the line for 30 minutes.
What's great about it: the person on the phone line was super helpful!
What's not so great: we had to wait 59 minutes on hold to talk to her

Help search feature needs more granularity

If the Help feature had another level of key-word screening or other function to narrow the answers, it would save users a lot of time.
What's great about it: Only needed help 3 times doing Fed. + 2 states
What's not so great: Help pointed to too many things to read

I do love turbo tax, i have been using the software for around 7 years, it has helped me with everything from being a single person, to married with children, and back to single, buying a house. I only have one con...I wish Turbo tax would keep more info in a cloud to keep me from having to re-enter info from year to year, the previous years know when i bought a house, so it may ask me if i moved, and when my response is "no" it should keep previous info still on record. I have trouble trying to go back and find dates and details from 8 years ago. Just an example, but overall, I recommend this software to everyone i know doing taxes.!!
What's great about it: easy, professional, detailed
What's not so great: repetitive entering of certain info, emails and previous year info

TurboTax 2015

This is about the 5th or 6th year using TurboTax. It saves me hours of time. I do my taxes and some family and friends. Used to do them by hand, now I do 5 tax returns in the time It used to take me to do just mine. And I e-file the Federal ones. I print the state ones so we mail them. Highly recommend TurboTax! The many worksheets I do is so easy, just plug in the numbers and TurboTax automatically does them for me, saves many hours and errors since it does them for me. Love it!
What's great about it: Easy like always and accurate!
What's not so great: None

Makin' life easy

Been using TT for a number of years. Finally hitting my stride I guess as my situation is slightly complex yet this year seemed easier. TT Premier makes it as easy as can be short of saving a box of receipts and paying an accountant to figure it all out.
I'm confident that I'm getting all the benefits of an average tax prep service and I feel much more familiar with how to play the game. I could probably get a few more dollars back with some more detailed expensing but I'm not out to push the limits too far and I think TT helps illuminate areas where I could improve.
What's great about it: does the math and double checks your work
What's not so great: sometimes confusing if you input some and import other 1099s, etc

Blew Our Refund Mind!

Overall great product and community database.
What's great about it: Very Simple to Use
What's not so great: Hard to separate property tax and mortg interest between personal and business properties
