My Review of Turbo Tax 2015

On the Pro side, I like TurboTax because it is fairly easy to use and because information from a previous return is transferred to the newer TurboTax return. For example, personal information such as name and address, or information from my itemized deductions were transferred from the 2014 return to my 2015 return. Then if I need to change or update something on my 2015 return, I can easily do so. On the Con side, I have been using TurboTax for several years now. At first, explanations for different sections and steps in TurboTax were fairly easy to understand. For example, explanations about itemized deductions or investments would be written in fairly easy to understand language. Now, for the past two or three years, the explanations have become harder to understand. In many instances, the person or persons who are writing the explanations are not using clear and concise language. I often have to guess at what is meant. This is not true of all sections of TurboTax, but it is true of many of them. The people in charge of writing out the explanations (which I realize is not an easy thing to do) should try to go back over as many sections as possible and rewrite them for the TurboTax user, not for the tax accountant or for those who wrote the TurboTax program. Thanks.

Always Been Reliable For My Taxes

Continues to help me prepare my taxes and saves me money on tax preparation, since I was working (had W-2s) and now that I am retired. Have to work with SSAs, pensions and IRAs, etc. Looking forward to Turbo Tax support when I sell my home and investment property, hope I can still do it on my own w/o consulting an accountant and other experts..
What's great about it: Been using Turbo Tax to prepare my Taxes since 1983, always been a user friendly software for me and am now an expert.
What's not so great: Have to patiently navigate through the program to search for answers I need.

Turbo Tax is easy and comprehensive!

I needed the extra help of the donation schedule. I am downsizing and am donating a lot of my clothes and household goods. They are in great shape and I hope someone is getting good use of them. At least I am getting a fair amount for giving away very good condition items I can not use any more.
What's great about it: Doesn't forget to ask.
What's not so great: I am using a package that is higher than I need.

Reliable and easy to use

I have been using TurboTax for nearly 20 years. In all that time, not a single glitch or problem. Turbo Tax has never failed to deliver a completed tax return on time without a single problem. Best software ever made!
