Disappointed this year!

Had several problems this year, updates released too soon, this from a TT employee, froze me out of my file so I had to repopulate return - DO NOT ENCRYPT!
Not backward-compatible with older Mac OS next year, nothing in TurboTax should require the updates in OSX, this is an expensive change in that many, relatively new Macs under perform when the OS is continually updated. This is TAX software, for Pete's sake! It doesn't need new, fancy bells & whistles every year! Keep it the simple, robust software it's been; readily available for everyone!!
Other than that, the software performed well, as usual.
What's great about it: Relatively easy as usual, quick and convenient, transfers most past filing info
What's not so great: Updates released too soon, Not backward-compatible with Mac Lion or below next year

I have used TT for a few years now and find it helpful. I sometimes find some deductions just not worth the effort and wish there was a "not worth the bother " button.
I live in a 3 generation household. That makes answering some questions difficult.

What's great about it: I love the e file feature. This year was improved in that it was easier to understand.
What's not so great: I am 76 and found the print too small. I need an enlarge print feature.

My 2015 experience

There were errors in an automatically created 1116 form (Copy 2) it was hard to figure out how to fix this. The prompt for the fix did not provide adequate information to fix the issue.
Aside from this, things went pretty smoothly. It seems like there are probably small improvements every year.
What's great about it: Went pretty smoothly
What's not so great: Errors in automatically created forms hard to fix

Where is my Detroit tax return ?

It should have seen I paid Detroit City taxes and therefore am required to file taxes with them... but it appears not an option.

TURBO TAX REVIEW

The only "negative" is that I did this for my deceased father's estate and it didn't really track thru by making sure it didn't ask questions like "would you like to set up an IRA for next year?"
What's great about it: EASE OF USE AND TRACKING TO IRS FORMS
What's not so great: DID THIS FOR MY DECEASED FATHER WHICH THE SYSTEM DIDN'T PICK UP ON

I've used turbotax for 15 years. It consistently improves each year and is the best product available.
What's great about it: retention of data year to year and financial institution downloads
