Needs a little work

TurboTax worked well as usual, but there seems to be a decrement in that I couldn't find any instructions for printing and filing my Virginia state return on paper. Only choices were, "file online and pay us," or "file online later." Finally winged it by printing the return manually, but there was no way to insert electronic refund information onto the paper copy.
The IRA contribution section also needs work. I wanted to calculate my maximum Roth, deductible conventional IRA, and nondeductible conventional IRA contributions. The only way to do it was to go back and forth in the interview, putting in different numbers until I narrowed it down.
What's great about it: Interview method works well
What's not so great: Hard to file paper state return; No IRA calculator

Great tool
What's great about it: thorough, easy to go between step-by-step and forms
What's not so great: K-1 support for MLPs is poor
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Could be better

There are questions like: Did you have investments losses you couldn’t claim in 2014? AND Did you receive a 1098-T form in 2014? I used TurboTax in 2014, so why does it make me go back and find these things. It should automatically forward losses, and see if box 7 is checked in my 1098-T form. Asking me questions like these when it can pull them from a prior year would save me time and justify making me pay extra for Premier because I sold a few mutual funds.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Did not pull in all of my data from prior year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy Taxes!

Using Turbo Tax is easy and accurate. Even with complicated taxes the job is quick and thorough. I am confident I found every deduction I was entitled to get. It would be great if Intuit would add a blank sheet after a One Page tax form. That way side one of a form following, prints on side one and side two prints on the back side of page one.
What's great about it: Walked me through every step
What's not so great: printing on two sides not set up well

Everything right at my fingertips

When I entered Retirement Annuity data 1098 forms, Turbo Tax should ask if I have investment fees to deduct. Important deductions may be missed if software doesn't ask the right questions.
What's great about it: Up to date IRS laws and schedules
What's not so great: Certain situations should trigger questions

Not Happy

Each year you charge more for the same things and you still have to pay more for the privilege of e-filing your state taxes. Your about to the cost of just having an accountant do them with less headache of starting over every time you switch pages.
What's great about it: Imports last years information
What's not so great: Price keeps going up for less service
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
