I am still not sure if the DELUXE version handles Rental Property. I bought the Premier issue this year because I had so much trouble with the Deluxe last year handling a rental property.
What's great about it: Continuity from Year to Year Simplifies the Process
What's not so great: Never sure I am getting the best PRICE when I buy. As a 15+ year user, I would like a best price guarantee.

I wish you provided an option to take the standard deduction before asking for all itemized deduction information.

Great Software& Value but may not cover everything

I have been using this for years!I have a complicated return as far as what to file and what I really like most are the download features. TurboTax is able to quickly gather all information needed from prior year's returns (provided you used Turbo Tax) as well as gather W-2, brokerage and other investment forms, and easily process the info to the right place on your tax forms.
I think Intuit should spend a little more time with the education expense area. Although it covers information well in general, There are prefilled assumptions that are not applicable to everyone that turbo tax makes. I had to go into the forms to solve in order to get the right information down when recieving 1098t and 1099Q forms and to properly complete education expenses taking up alot of time, rather than from the narrative guide and would have cost significant error in my taxes had i not troubleshooted this. I also have a K-1 to enter, and though it is mostly plug in the numbers, there always seems to be one or two items on the K-1 which TTax omits or doesn't provide adequate instruction on how to handle. Otherwise TTax is a great value and makes filing much easier

Good Product

When editing a category such as 'other credits' at end of category goes all the way back to top of all credits and have to work your way down to where you were. Would be nice if went to where you last worked.
What's great about it: includes almost all situations
What's not so great: Movement through categories such as deductions is awkward.

Simple Process

For the third year running, TurboTax has allowed me to prepare and submit my tax return with minimal pain! The review process is good and quickly identifies any errors and gets them fixed. I will continue to use TurboTax next year and will recommend it to anyone who is looking for a straightforward method of preparing their taxes!
What's great about it: Step by step process is very logical
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Look forward to taxes due to Turbo Tax;
my only grip each year is the planning for estimated tax payments. The program is hard to follow, unclear in places, and underdeveloped. Please make this easier by allowing users to input specific variables. Needs work.

I hate paying taxes.

I have used Intuit's Turbo Tax for 12 years. Like most people I don't enjoy doing my taxes. However I find using Turbo Tax to be relatively easy and very user friendly, When finished I am confident my taxes are done correctly, I have knowledge and an understand of the information inputted and this helps me to sleep at night knowing my taxes are done correctly and professionally.
What's great about it: Easy to use and to navigate through. Very thorough, comprehensive, and accurate.
What's not so great: Still ended up paying taxes. Took longer than expected. Did not appreciate being forwarded to Intuit website 2-3 times.
