Turbo for 2015

Great program, easy to use. Only complaint is scrolling on my macbook air. Miss the person that used to pop up and talk to you.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: page did not want to scroll with apple. Took a while to figure out it required fn

Been using Turbo Tax for the last 6 years and just love how
simple it is to use. Every year they have improved it to now even a dummy can do their own Taxes.

What's great about it: Very easy to use.
What's not so great: Do not like having to pay more to e-file my state tax.

Didn't expect to not see selection of standard deduction as opposed to itemized deduction.
Please review "real time" presentation of refund vs. payment during screen processing.

Best version yet

The Premier version makes the input of both investment data and small/simple home business data very straight forward and easy. The carry forward of previous year's unused deductions, etc., is extremely helpful, too.
What's great about it: With many LLP investments, inputting of K-1 information is a snap.
What's not so great: This year I have absolutely no complaints.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTaxational!

This is our 6th or 7th year of using TurboTax and we like the reasonable price of the software, and the fact that it is kept up to date with the tax codes.
What's great about it: Works at my pace, explains things I'm not familiar with
What's not so great: New ID security entry is only slightly inconvenient....worth it though, not having fraudulent returns by others

Something Missing

The program should have told me I was paying a penalty. Even if it was small, I should have had the option to work through the quarterly analysis to see if I could smooth it enough to avoid the penalty. I was never alerted to the issue nor given the opportunity to work through it.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Didn't tell me I was paying a penalty
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

works very well if you have all information before you begin. It is more difficult to go back and edit an individual item that you filled in. hard to get to the line item screen.
What's great about it: walks you thru everything
What's not so great: hard to go back and Edit
