What's great about it: Easy. Provides advice for investing. Flags potential issues.
What's not so great: Guidance on stock options and other incentive stocks is unclear.

Another successful filing in the books

Super cool to see the 5 year look-back on the Tax History Report. Converted from TaxCut in 2011 and was amazed at how much more intuitive and straight-forward TurboTax is!
TurboTax has supported all my needs as I progressed from W-2 income to adding retirement income, K-1 income and rental property income. I'm confident that wherever my income streams come from, TurboTax will help me file with ease!
What's great about it: Super simple and grows with me!
What's not so great: Moved up a tax bracket ...but no fault of TurboTax!
Pros: I bought or sold investments

2015 Filing

One should be able to use Social Security Number or, birthday to e-file return.
Wish that one could download software [ USA 1040] from anywhere in the world without in trouble from one's country.
I use TurboTax every year over the other software because of the ease of use. I tell everyone to use Turbo Tax if they do their own taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use & walk through Instructions easy to follow
What's not so great: Have to use last years Tax Filing Gross to E-File return

Turbo Tax 2015
on April 12, 2016

I have been using Turbo tax for years. I find it very helpful and easy to use for most returns. I wish they would increase the minimum e-files, as my family is growing.
Helpline was very responsive and answered all my questions.
I intend to use Turbo Tax in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Able to find answers quickly to most questions. Logical.
What's not so great: Still confused by how many e-files allowed for state and if encounter a rejection.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: CONSISTENCY, COVERS ALL ASPECTS, EASY
What's not so great: CAN'T CHANGE ENTRY, SUPPORTING INFO DIFFICULT ENTRY

I had a hard time getting the estimates at the number I wanted. This goes for other items also. There should be a way to input a number that you want without going through all the screens.
I would like to see a one page summary of my k-1's all together.
What's not so great: Very hard to go back and forth

Too many unnecessary questions clog the system
on April 12, 2016

Turbotax does a good job of prompting me for all the necessarry
pieces which need to be provided in order to fill out the federal and state forms. The problem lies in the many extraneous details--e.g. if I am NOT a farmer (and this can be determined in the beginning), then I will not be selling or renting farm machinery. If I do not have a Schedule C, then many of the business questions do not apply to me, but I have to look at them anyway.
What's great about it: gets the stuff we need to consider in filling out the forms
What's not so great: too much detail about things like farm machinery etc
