I could never tell where I was in the printing process as all of the short subtitles would hang up my computer and I would have to shut my computer down and hope it stored my changes. Way to cumbersome for a novice to use. I have used for the last 20 years and it has gotten more difficult every year. Its now time to go to H R Block.
What's great about it: Yearly carryover
What's not so great: Printing and PDF

I've used TurboTax for over 20 years and like the interview questions to fill out the required information.
Had my financial advisor (CPA) help me fill out the IRA/Roth info since I was moving money back and forth and on my own was showing a penalty for overpayment into the IRA.
Same time next year?
What's great about it: Review of past years filing for changes
What's not so great: Kept some forms that I wasn't using (2106); Updates to the programme that take time to load

Good refund

Problem with calculating after entering some of my deductions. Couldn't go forward or stop it it from "calculating" After 18 hours, had to reinstall to complete. Fortunately, all info was still there.
What's great about it: fast, easy, accurate
What's not so great: problems with calculating after entering deductions.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Another Year Filed Comfortably From Home

Turbo Tax works well when used year after year. The feature of using the previous year's information to help with the current year is truly beneficial. It points out items you did in the past and could currently use. It remembers carry overs. Being able to import documents from investment firms is a big help and time saver. Having used Turbo tax for over 15 years without incident would make it extremely difficult for me to choose a different tax preparation and filing method.
What's great about it: Premier Edition great for Investments
What's not so great: Printing of individual forms a bit challenging

Glitch delayed refund by 2 days

I supplied my E mail address in the payment field requesting either E mail or user name. It would not allow me to proceed using the E mail address. Had to call customer service, where I realized perhaps it would work with the user name.
What's great about it: Everything else worked as expected
What's not so great: Should automatically supply user name in payment field

state filing too expensive

Mostly good. Sate filing too expensive to use. Would be better if some terms like "qualified plan" were explained

Lots of unexpected application closures

Suggest that intuit test their software more extensively.
