Patience, Patience, Patience!

99% of work is straight forward but the last bit to fix errors is tricky. The telephone expert assistance is critical and highlighted by the incredible patience of the advisor who guides us. They are marvelous and essential.
What's great about it: Careful guidance throughout.
What's not so great: Repairing errors is tricky.

Give an option to make it easier

I would like the option to make my taxes easier without finding out every obscure way to save on taxes.
I also would like to be able to print out all my charities - only some get printed.

TT is a comprehensive, easy to use, flexible solution to aid in the preparation and filing of federal/state taxes. It eliminates the guess work, complexity and potential errors that can accompany the effort of developing tax filings.
TT is a very valuable tool.
What's great about it: Easy, straightforward, step-by-step with useful/helpful instruction

Complicated Return

Overall I use TT because of the electronic nature and filing along with mostly useful information.
I get frustrated with the bugs within TT that I have to work around as there is no direct line to TT to get the bugs addressed. Also, I am frustrated with the complicated way of filling out K-1 Partnerships as I would think there would be a better way ... maybe something like the actual K-1 form as an option to fill out rather than screen after screen of boxes to fill in.
What's great about it: Electronic
What's not so great: Bugs & K-1s

We have used Turbo Tax for years. Love the convenience of filing from home when the documents arrive. This year however, eye surgery led to a delay. It works best to file early rather than just 3 days before the deadline as we did this year. Turbo Tax rocks and we will use it again next year.
What's great about it: Tax filing is easy, convenient, constantly updated and accurate
What's not so great: some processing issues filing the last minute

Smooth as always

It was smooth as always, probably 8 hours all up. Itemize, rental property, etc.
Got in to an uproar with underpayment penalty for Indiana. I was w/o penalty on my estimated. It calculated the penalty and I was exactly at the dollar amount for penalty if the penalty was included.
I was cutting it close, but I feel it should apply the test before calculating penalty. I spent an hour or more chasing this before I solved it.
What's great about it: Imported and then foll owed items that needed review
What's not so great: Had to cut off the Indiana State underpayment penalty phase
