2015 almost as good as 2014

Used Premier to file rental property (Sched E) and Farm rent (form 4835), but did not use to calculate values for gifts to charity. Worked OK again this year. I have used Turbo Tax since it was Macintax, so that's quite a few years.
What's great about it: had all the needed for rental property and family farm
What's not so great: seemed a little more difficult than last year

TurboTax v.s. Paid Preparers
on April 11, 2016

The Step-by-Step Navigation continues to be easily understood, even by me an inexperienced user. Prior to 2011, our Tax Returns were very simple and we always used TurboTax.. Retired 31 October 2011, bought a new home, and relocated. Used a Paid Preparer Service in 2011 and 2012. Compared results with those from TurboTax. Results were the same. Needless to say, we resumed using TurboTax exclusively.
What's great about it: TurboTax yields same results as Paid Preparer
What's not so great: NONE

I have always used turbo tax and it has improved each year.
What's great about it: user friendly
What's not so great: did not like the fact that when working on investments the asked for direct deposit info

Pleasure to use.

The handling of my retirement withdrawals left me unsure as to if it is being calculated correctly. My confidence is really with you guys and gals but being the first time having to enter this type of info and the calculations involved I felt uncertain. Also which edition would be the best for us retirees to use?
What's great about it: Asks the right questions.
What's not so great: Felt sketchy about retirement and us boomers.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

First time joint return - slight confusion
on April 11, 2016
Posted by: Klaus57
Overall, very good. I have used TurboTax for many years but this is the first time I have used it to file a joint return. My only criticism is that, during the interview process, it was occasionally difficult to determine to whom (myself or my wife) the questions were directed. Although it became clearer as I progressed through the return, a short primer on what to expect for a first time joint return would have been helpful.
What's great about it: It works
What's not so great: ambiguity
