Pretty good, could be better

I wish it did not require you to break up K1s with data in multiple boxes 1/2/3 as separate K1s. The issues with speed of open needs to be fixed, especially as it has gotten worse every year it seems. It used to know when to ask if you needed to save upon close, but seems to have forgotten how to do so. It really needs to do better about telling you what has changed in each update, again it used to do moderately well in past years but is worthless these days.
What's great about it: Pretty easy to use, covers most cases.
What's not so great: Very slow to open application, asks you to save documents with no changes in them, could handle K1s better.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Taxes made easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years. They seem to keep making it simpler to use and easier to understand each year.
What's great about it: simple, easy to understand. Excellent "help" tutorials/guide
What's not so great: each time i had to update software, it was really slow.

TurboTax Makes Tax Paying Less Painful

Using TurboTax streamlines tax form preparation and ensures consideration of all available tax-saving options. Facilitation of e-filing is an outstanding feature. However, inability to print some individual pages prevents users from documenting that the return was sent. Once we waited until the e-mail should have arrived. When it failed to arrive, we investigated. By the time that we confirmed that it indeed failed to transmit, we had missed the filing deadline and had to pay late fees.
What's great about it: Offers opportunities to capture all exceptions & credits
What's not so great: No printing pages that returns have been sent. Until e-mail, no filing record exits. Once cost us late fees.

So easy!

I have used TurboTax for years and love how convenient it's become! Even with owning a rental property, it is very easy to complete and the pop-up guides provide good information. Once I have all my paperwork/information in front of me, it takes about 45 mins - 1 hour (I check the pop-up guides fairly frequently). I will continue to use TurboTax in the future. It beats paying someone else to do my taxes when all the questions are contained in the product.
What's great about it: Step by step guidance if you need it with explanations
What's not so great: did not guide me directly to rental property expenses after entering income

EASY

The process flowed in an easy and natural manner with the carry over to the State filing much improved. The finishing process left a bit to be desired. There was a certain amount of redundancy in the final steps. You need to look at all of the final steps before doing anything or you end up saving/printing material in a very inefficient manner. Also, having each voucher printed on a separate page is wasteful of paper/ink
What's great about it: The flow was natural and easy to follow.
What's not so great: The finish routine was cumbersome.

The finding errors portion only shows the irs forms. Need to go back to the questions sheet by turbo. NO way that I could tell what they wanted. Don't ever remember it being this confusing in the past. Needs work.
What's not so great: The error checking very hard to follow.

The question and answer format works very well for me.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Had a little trouble getting installed on my Mac Book
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
