1st time using TurboTax

We had a multi-state return because of a move. Getting values correct for each state was mostly a manual process. Like I said in cons, editing values usually required answering the same questions over and over to get to what you want to edit. It would be quicker to list all of the values for a category allowing you to pick which one to edit and leave the others alone.
What's great about it: Allows entering any income or deduction you have
What's not so great: Editing some data requires going through several pages of questions to get where you want to be
Pros: I moved

I love this product

I've been using TT for years and it just keeps getting better. That makes the price increases palatable. My idea is to provide an analysis tool that would help me understand differences year-to-year on taxes owed or refunded. I am retired and take varying amounts of "draws" from my retirement accounts. Therefore, some years I get refunds on both state and federal returns. Some years I get a refund on one but owe on the other. It would be helpful to understand changes from year-to-year in some kind of comparison snapshot report where changes in income or taxes paid before filing are highlighted, for both state and federal returns. P.S. I will love the product with or without my suggested changes. I can dig the information out of the product as-is but just would like it magically to show me. ;-)
What's great about it: Very easy to use/lots of help if needed
What's not so great: None really that I can think of altho I have an improvement idea

Nice improvements
on April 11, 2016

I always have employment expenses for my primary job and my military reservist. There were nice improvements that saved me from manually entering some expenses this year. I have also been separated most of the year and Turbo Tax let me run several different scenarios to determine the best solution for my wife and I and allowed me to file both returns separately without cross contaminating the information. Turbo Tax is very well set up for separation scenarios. I was able to import my info from last year but easily exclude my wife's info and her dependents from my return and include them in hers. Well done Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Nice improvements to military reservist income

Walks you through all the steps for what I need it for. If I have questions the additional help is there. Used the help all the time. Help has good quick statements to help me determine if I need to dig further or I have enough to answer my questions. Always have the Tax form number which helps me determine if I am dealing with the correct form and correct Turbo Tax section. Have used Turbo Tax for many years and enjoyed using it year after year.
What's great about it: Solid, Good help boxes, Easy to file with Federal and State
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Could not add state e file, too many questions. when you provide a code by e mail cannot get back to add to the account.
Intuit turbo tax I have a password for Turbo tax and did not know that intuit is turbo tax when you are asking for a password.
Your pricing is getting too high. Too many turbo tax items. Should have only one for all tax filing. Don't have Basic, Deluxe, Premier and Home and Business. Just have Turbo Tax for all filing required. I am thinking of doing my taxes with another form of filing taxes.
What's great about it: Covers a lot
What's not so great: Could not include a small hobby listing

Income from Royalties
on April 11, 2016

I have been a TurboTax user for many, many years. Entering "Income from Royalties" has ALWAYS been very confusing. My situation is extremely simple and straight forward. Just royalties from two natural gas wells. It should be an easy task. But every year it takes more time to handle that issue than the rest of my tax situations combined.
What's not so great: This subject is very confusing
