Great. Needs a few tweeks.

Mostly great. Would like a way to tell Turbo Tax that we itemize every other year. That way, I can have all the itemized info saved automatically in odd-numbered years for use in even-numbered years.
What's great about it: Handles complicated stuff just fine!
What's not so great: When I go look at something I often don't get back to where I was.

Turbo Tax Eases My Mind!

I have used Turbo Tax to prepare my income taxes for the past three years. I enjoy the easy to use format and find the additional information very helpful when filling out my return. I find it comforting to know Turbo Tax will be there to assist me in case of an audit. Turbo Tax has my six!

Its what I expected

I worked as an accountant for 6 years before becoming a SAHmom, so i know sometime of financial terminology. But there is a lot of lingo and terms in taxes that are just crazy. I tried to do our taxes on my own, using the IRS instruction pdfs. Then used Turbo tax to check my work.
I missed a few that Turbo caught. Glad I checked with the experts.

What's great about it: Step by step. and option to self gide.
What's not so great: Could use more explanation options, had to google a few terms.

I have used TurboTax for many years. Until the last three years, the experience was almost pleasant! Having the customer order far in advance and then changing the product line by the time of delivery created a mess for two years. Now, this year having to spend a lot time getting the unwanted "Premium Service fee" removed was tedious and exhausting after a long session filling out the tax return.

I use to do my taxes manually. Then used turbo tax when it first came out once. It was challenging then so I hired a CPA. Finally, I decided to do my taxes on my own via turbo tax. To my surprise, it has improved tremendously. I had very little problems in entering all the information I needed. I would recommend this to anyone! My only recommendation is that turbo tax have a sheet to summarize all the information that may be needed. That way I would have had all the numbers ready to input and be faster in completing my return. Love how it did my fed and state taxes and do e-file. Took out so much stress. Great software at a great price.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Visualizing where I need to enter information.

Totally Recommendable

I have used the product since 1997 (came in a box "MacInTax"); the MACINTOSH version, maybe the only version then. Good product then. Better product today. I must have got 50-100 to us it. Seems I have become one of their out-source sales reps -;)
What's great about it: Nice Walk-about and its done -- your 1040
What's not so great: Ships ONLY in US and CANADA
