Easy to use

TurboTax made it easy for me to file my tax return without feeling like I needed a more careful glance at my information. They make you feel like all the steps are looked at carefully. I did have a few extra tax documents that were not entered and I had to dig to find a place for them.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions. You don't feel like you've missed anything
What's not so great: Some unclear steps
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Steady Decline Year Over Year

Turbo Tax used to be a solid product. Not any more. The simplicity is gone and many times leaving you scratching your head. While, yes I was able to finish my taxes, it is definitely not the same product of just a few short years ago.
What's great about it: Finally got the job done
What's not so great: Might as well use an accountant

Great Federal, watch the State

As usual, TurboTax ROCKED the federal tax prep. We bought a house last year and it made it easy to input the data. ICW its deductible it made it easy to input deductions. The State tax auto input had to be corrected. We live in Grand Rapids, MI, but NOT within the city limits of Grand Rapids; hence, we don't pay City of Grand Rapids tax. In the future, there should be a question asking this information to preclude this issue. I saw the issue and corrected it.
What's great about it: Great Federal tax prep
What's not so great: Had to correct the auto inputs for State Taxes

I've used TurboTax for years and have witnessed its improvement from year to year. I find it thorough, easy to understand, and accurate.
What's great about it: The TurboTax system is comprehensive and easy to use

Turbo Tax didn't really start where I left off, when I quit and returned to a file.
The feature that I would really like is to list the charitable contributions, then sort the list alphabetically. This would be helpful for lots of reasons. If the list changes from year to year, I can browse it easier. Also, if I accidentally left one off, I can find it easier.

I have been a long time user of TurboTax to file my taxes.
It has improved quite a bit since I first started using it, but still there is more room for improvement.
I have been having issues with filing taxes due to some logic issue with TurboTax where before electronic filing, it keeps looping saying that it needs certain fields to be filed, but even after confirming that the value present in those fields are as provided by institution, it still goes back asking for that to be corrected.
Not sure why that is happening but it is a small frustration point.
Hope TurboTax fixes such minor bugs and becomes the best tools for individuals and businesses to file their taxes.

What's great about it: Good workflow process of going through the various details that need to be entered for filing income and deductions.
What's not so great: Some times when it does not see the values it expects, it keeps looping in the same step with no exit.

TurboTax Premier Makes it Easy

Overall TurboTax has been my consistent choice for 15+ years running. Premier version handles more complex issues fairly easily. I feel like I am in control of my own filing using TT.
What's great about it: Easy, affordable, accurate
What's not so great: Navigation sometimes annoying
