TTax has learned my background and does an excellent job with my taxes. So far it is faultless and I have not had a problem with uncle sam, but I am a pretty small fish. Thanks Turbo!!!!!!

I have used TurboTax for more than 2 decades and have had mostly positive experiences with the software even when my tax situation became more complicated. Now as a retiree my tax situation is stable and I am able to complete my tax return with fewer surprises.

Great Process for a Speedy Refund!

Turbo Tax has been a quick and easy process to what was once a complicated method. Having access to e-file before
the deadline allows me and my large family file our taxes promptly and timely so that we can all enjoy our refund.

This is the best way of filing an arduous process with ease
and since the forms are linked and transferable from one year to the next. It makes the whole process easier each year.

Missing a few explanations

I would like to see a question during the interview part about having a Third Party Designee - I always have to go back and enter that information right before I transmit/file.
Also, many times I get very sparsely populated 1099-Bs from investment sales. A more thorough explanation of what to put where would be appreciated. FOR EX: I knew when the asset was acquired, but it wasn't on the 1099-B. Where should I enter that information, since the issuer didn't have it and it wasn't transmitted to the IRS?

Exceptionally Easy

I got TT because I could not figure out how to calculate line 19 of Form 6251. I was surprised that TT did not help me calculate this entry. I still had to research how to calculate this line by doing Google searches.
What's great about it: Straight-forward
What's not so great: 1. No explanation on how to calculate Line 19 Form 6251 entry! 2. TT questions don't align with lines on Form 6251.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
