Easy, peasy!

When Intuit took out the extra commentary and music, my task got simpler and less annoying. I have used Turbo Tax since 2000. This year's return went faster than ever.
What's great about it: Short and simple. Can bypass irrelevant items.

TurboTax Was Correct

Using TurboTax generally involves just following the screens. However, there was a place going from federal input to state, where the TT entry appeared to be incorrect based on the text above the entry. This was mainly caused by insufficient text explaining the entry, plus a more complex hidden input selection calculation. The TT inserted value was correct, but it took time to verify the value by going to the IRS publication for explanation and examples. Several other entries in the federal forms were similar. Having written a computer program in the early 1980's for my own use, I appreciate the effort that is involved in keeping TurboTax helpful, and current. A very useful program!
What's great about it: Reduces chances for errors
What's not so great: Lots of questions that don't apply

Affordable Health Act Unit needs attention. Not clear for individuals who have medical coverage by employers, or previous employers.

Makes a Complicated Return Easy

Have used TurboTax for many years. It is my go-to tax software program. Used a live tax professional once several years ago and was very disappointed by the results and the cost. As I transition from full time work into retirement, TurboTax continues to be the Tax Software I can count on

Overall, I am so grateful to have this tool to do my taxes. There is no way I could have completed all these forms all by myself. TurboTax really gets it done in the most efficient manner possible.
What's great about it: Q&A format, easy navigation, explanatory pop-ups
What's not so great: Some of the e-filing instructions (like the PIN section) was confusing.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. I have never had a problem with audit.
