Too Many Hang Ups

I have been using this for many years but this year was very trying. The program froze so many times it was difficult to finish and be sure the program captured all the data and calculated everything correctly.
What's great about it: I like the way the system takes you through all the forms

Easiest way to do taxes

I have used TurboTax for the 15th year in a row. This year was the most complicated return I've had with conversion of a personal residence into a rental property. For all basic tax details, TurboTax continues to be easy and intuitive. For schedule E and the basis of the rental property, there is a hidden feature in forms mode where you can itemize the elements of the cost basis of your property. It would be much better if this were an obvious feature in step-by-step mode. I'm looking forward to a 16th year using TurboTax and beyond.
What's great about it: Question and answer fill in format is great
What's not so great: Itemizing certain numbers, like basis of a rental house could better

Missing the Mark

Major issue with this year's version: I am not confident that I filed using the most current version of the software. I installed from the CD, attempted to update, and nothing happened. I had to jump through hoops to manually download the most recent version. I had a similar problem with downloading the state version.
I miss the comments/explanation from the experts. Previous years had an audio explanation that is missing from this year's version. I found them instructive and helpful.
What's great about it: Thorough; easy to use
What's not so great: Updates/downloads a hassle! Missing the audio explanations
