Failure to Calculate estimated AMT amount

It makes absolutely no sense that you do not calculate an estimated AMT amount for next year's taxes.

2015 My 1040 Experience

As a retired CPA I am familiar with most of the forms, but sometimes the EasyStep process is more efficient. The ability to switch between the Forms and EasyStep for input is great.
I also like the ability to print a specific form rather than the complete return.
With the high price of the state software, compared to the price of the federal package, the state e-file should be included without charge just as in the federal software.
Otherwise I am totally satisfied with the performance of the product. I have been using it since 1990.
What's great about it: Ability to switch between Forms and EasyStep a plus for ease of input if you are familiar with the forms
What's not so great: K-1 input for limited partnerships is tedious. E-file for the state should be included in the price of the software.

TurboTAX 2015

I have been a Turbo Tax user for as long as I can remember (mostly likely in excess of ten years) and I have seen this program mature into a master piece. Considering that I used to spend hours preparing my returns and now can do them in one afternoon is unbelievable. Just the downloading of all my stock transactions (approximately 59 pages of transactions) and entering them on the form is remarkable.
What's great about it: Ease of use, clarity, and walk thru is great.
What's not so great: I can't think of anything

Easier Each Year

We've been using Turbo Tax for years. Each year it gets easier to use. There are so many helpful tips... WE LOVE IT!
What's great about it: Easy to use, help always available
What's not so great: Fees for the state filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Different experience this year

I have used Turbo Tax for ten years. This is the first year that I have been very frustrated with the experience. I moved to another state and rented my house in the old state. I was never able to get satisfactory answers to complete one section of state return for my former state. No matter what number I input, it was never accepted.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is easy to use.
What's not so great: When you really have a difficult question, you cannot get a clear answer.
