Another fantastic year using TurboTax

Although our old computer died, using TurboTax and our new computer, things went great. The inputting of information was fast and smooth and took much less time than anticipated. We greatly recommend this product to all.

What's great about it: New computer, input information and filing went fast and smooth
What's not so great: could not be carried over from older computer
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

excellent help with taxes

This is a great way to do your taxes. I just wish that I had known that it didn't work with windows edge. I had to wait on the phone for 2 hours and 15 minutes, but once I got a customer service agent they were able to talk me through what I needed to do to get the program to run.
What's great about it: great program
What's not so great: Dosen't work with windows edge

Turbotax Excels

Cassandra in Turbotax Support was very professional and helpful in working me through the switch from on-line to download version. She also helped me delete a second account I accidently set up trying to find my previous years return.
Turbotax Support is trustworthy and very capable at solving program problems.

Easy to Use

Can't change computer easily, need to make the program more user friendly in case you have to use a different computer. Not everyone is a computer person and knows about PDF files and Thumb drives.
What's great about it: transfer all previous information.
What's not so great: Can't use a different computer easily, not user friendly in this instance.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's not so great: It would be nice if on the State Return section it would tell you if your state requires you to file.

Great for 95% of the return

I have been using TurboTax for years and will continue to use it each year. It is simply fantastic for Federal Returns. However, the state portion of the returns is pretty weak. Essentially, it give you blanks to enter amounts, but you have to have more understanding of what needs to be entered that simply asking you questions. We complete 2 states. One of the state deducts taxes paid to another state, and even though we already complete the other state's return, it does not enter the information into the second state automatically (or provide a way for you to get the information).
What's great about it: Navigation, clear questions
What's not so great: Does not coordinate multiple states, weak state questions
