Getting Clunky!

This year's version sucked compared to prev years.
What's great about it: Ability to do my own taxes
What's not so great: Extremely quirky missing a lot until time to file
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I had a baby

In general more difficult to navigate. Also had a situation where a 1099 was issued for a pal-grant and couldn't get it to record the 1099 without paying taxes. After an hour on line with the help desk we got it resolved. I am a long time user of TurboTax and I will continue to use it.
What's great about it: Great help desk service
What's not so great: More difficult to use this year

Turbo Tax provides a convenient way to file taxes at a reasonable price. Following the steps almost anyone can prepare the annual returns.

I filed my federal taxes and had not entered the proper investment company code. (YOU should have software that confirms I did it right) So I found my error and them what? I transitioned through to the end where I was instructed to submit my federal returns. I did, now i have filed TWICE. Can only imagine the problem this will cause.
What's great about it: read the directions and I finally got through it
What's not so great: missed something and didn't give me the buttons to push to resubmit

Fast and Easy

I like to be able to download directly from my 8 different security accounts all my stock transaction for the year -- this year it was over 10 pages of Form 8949.
It also handled the farm rental and oil royalty properties quite easily.
I've been using TurboTax for many years and it keeps track of the information from the previous year to automatically download into the new tax year.
Keep up the good work -- not looking forward to taxes next year but I know it will be easier with Turbo Tax.

Another Year Relying on TurboTax

Need to improve upon the prompting for investment input for Schedule D. I had to correct everything on the tax form. Did not do a good job of collecting what basis was or was not reported to the IRS. So this needs some real improvement. It was a big pain to fix. I have used TurboTax for a long time and do not recall it so confusing before.
Otherwise still pretty good. It helps to be a financial person to say the least.
What's great about it: Similar to past years. The "Guide Me" process worked reasonably (see cons).
What's not so great: "Guide Me" for the Sch D investment inputs was confusing, created some screwy forms that I had to correct. So not good.
