While printing copy of tax return 72 pages, printer ran out of ink. After replacing ink cartridge was not able to restart printing where it left off no matter what page numbers I entered into the printing range for pages. There is no relationship between the document pages and printing pages. This caused wasted time as well as lots of paper. Problem needs to be fixed.
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: Printing not 100%

Terrible Experience using product on MacBook Pro

Could not be less satisfied. This product does not work on MacBook Pro.
What's great about it: Finally done
What's not so great: Very slow, took hours to complete validation step because of number of transactions

Life, death and taxes

Step by step is nice but if you skip around it can be difficult to get back to the exact the same spot you left.
Details are sometimes lacking - Example - When I filed my state return via mail, the Turbo Tax form said to include W-2s and any form 1099!?? I carefully read thru MA forms and found that you only need to include the 1099 form if it has MA with-holding. That's an important point!
I'm still displeased that TurboTax internal security did not catch the person who filed under my name.

Can handle complex returns

I have used Turbo Tax dating back to the late 1990s. I keep using it because it does the job of handling a broad range of tax documents. And I have been able to efile both the Federal and State returns every year. To print every form and worksheet required 277 pages this year. I recently had a high-priced professional firm prepare my return. The bill was in the four figure range and the first digit was more than 5. My only beef is with one or two numbers transferred to my Connecticut return. I have to override them ever year.
What's great about it: Seems to have very few limits
What's not so great: Does not seem to transfer some data to a CT return correctly

Consistently gets more thorough!!

I have used TurboTax for many years. Tax returns for ministers are difficult because of IRS regulations. Had to find a CPA for a few years, but now that TT has included information for ministers' returns, I don't plan to ever go back to the much, much greater expense of a CPA!! Keep helping those of us who are "dually aligned" by the IRS!
What's great about it: So glad they are covering the special conditions for ministers!!

Very good except for giving me one state software!
What's great about it: easy to use and effective
What's not so great: It charged me for one state. It gave me the state I live in but not the state I worked in!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The return offers a way to see the actual forms but it is not easy.
I would like to see a more global map like a tree to find out where I am in the process.
