Too many software revisions.

The IRS sent us 6 digit IP PINs. Your software only appeared to accept the first 5 digits. The saave as a PDF feature should be separated from printing. I have already printed the return and don't want to do it again.
Too many repeated attempts to sell more features.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate. IN state best yet. Good with PTP's
What's not so great: The tax code hasn't changed that much. Why all the revisions?
Pros: I bought or sold investments

overall a good experience, but there is room for improvement. Did my taxes in good time. Gets easier to use every year. Filing is getting much better.
What's great about it: uploads previous tax information,
What's not so great: AZ state form, to review a section I had to go thru from the start

I think I will look for another program that offers free state returns and stock reporting at a better price. I have used TurboTax for years but I feel they have outpriced themselves.
What's great about it: Always a good program to walk you thru and catch things that may be missed.
What's not so great: No more free state returns. Stocks require a more expensive version than in past years.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

after fed efile, go to (here is what you need to print for your state return). Then go to (do you want a printout for ;your records) also there was a lot of blank forms, credit usage and carryover,(ind-cr )forms. the average person would include these . also the questing always comes up: say on the what to statement when you need to send to the state fed return
What's not so great: going from fed efile to mail state return needs improvementlso

Generally program is very good. Still can;t go back to a specific box when reviewing for entries. You can go back to a topic but it makes you go through all "preliminary" info every time before you get to specific $ entry boxes-- example rental property-say you want to just check your entry on a particular expense. You have to go through all the "front end" questions for that topic/house again. Also- sale of rental home not clear. When you sell a home the contract sales price is home, land, and all assets. No direction on how to arrive at land vs hse sales/exp. nor what to do with assets part of the home. Had to get help.
What's great about it: much better response this year with call backs instead of sitting on hold for 40 min.!
What's not so great: Had trouble with out of state 1099-misc. this year. Notclear how to enter.Needed more than one help to resolve.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I like to be able to do "what if" modifications based on last year's return. Assuming no changes in the tax laws, what would happen to my tax bill if I had higher capital gains or increased my donations. Being able to save that under a different file name would be helpful. Turbo Tax used to permit this but not the last few years.
What's great about it: Entering in the order I wanted worked great
What's not so great: Should be able to choose file name to save return for projections.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
