Straight Forward 2015 Filing
on April 7, 2016

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and like there easy walk trough approach to filling out your taxes. But most importantly they allow for easy access to any form if you want to check information on specific forms. Brokerage, W2 and It's Deductible imports all went smoothly.
What's great about it: Comprehensive, Thorough Error Checking, Accurate
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Software Glitch

I had to have a lot of problems and ask for help before I found out that the Mac version was faulty and you knew it. If you had sent out an alert it would have saved me a lot of headaches.
What's great about it: Once the Mac version was fixed it worked fine
What's not so great: I lost a lot of time because the Mac version did not work properly

TurboTax remains top notch

I have used TurboTax and its predecessor, MacInTax, since its beginning. I am pleased that it handles my tax reporting very well, including the challenges of having a brokerage account. My major misgiving with the software is that there is no way to alphabetize the various contributions that I annually make to a variety of charities. I would prefer to just upload my contributions from my Excel record.
What's great about it: The 2015 version of TurboTax continues the tradition of outstanding tax filing software.
What's not so great: Because of valid Government concerns, the actual process of filing electronically has become awkward and very convoluted
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Two businesses, multiple donations, pensions and other things all made previous tax seasons horrible. Not so much any more.
What's great about it: Easy to understand
What's not so great: Can't think of anything I disliked

The rentals feature in the Premier version is great! I have used Turbo Tax Premier since 2002.
What's great about it: EZ to use, just answer questions
What's not so great: State tax (AZ) could be better

The tax code is complicated. one need to file each line of investment of mutual funds separately not total gains or looses.
What's great about it: filing on line
What's not so great: it is ok.a little bit complicated
