Excellent software

Very helpful, thorough, and le me know I needed additional information and forms. Very accurate so no need to worry about the IRS sending letters two years from now.
What's great about it: very easy to follow,

Overall a good experience-- will let you know if my opinion changes should I get audited! Took digging to find how to reach an agent for assistance but once found - the call back was timely and the agent friendly and thorough. Just wish for transparent help functionality...
What's great about it: quick - easy to follow step by step walkthough
What's not so great: finding assistance! reaching a representative is as complicated as doing taxes manually!

There was a big error that Turbo Tax did not recognize. I knew something was wrong, but it took two of us to remedy it. It was a confusing item regarding state tax pension income.
What's great about it: methodical input of information
What's not so great: need a general idea of your own tax situation to double check information just in case you misenter information

Would like access to IRS instructions

On this review form, the 'Your Nickname' field is for my daughter, and I cannot see anywhere to change it! I logged into TT website and went to my profile, but there is no place this is shown or editable.
Several times I had questions where the form said 'refer to instructions', but TT does not list the instructions in the list of forms.
Also, it is very hard to find where to enter a conversion to a Roth IRA – I can't find it anywhere in the list of either income or deductions.
What's great about it: Thorough and easy to follow
What's not so great: Forms view does not show IRS instructions

Simple to use. I get a confident feeling that my taxes are filed correctly.

It would have been better, much better, to find the bad entries before all of the "final" stuff was asked. Much better.
What's great about it: Good guidance and leading through all of the stuff.

Overall Decent

Has a lot of great features and makes it easy... but so does other products. Having used turbo tax for 10+years, but have only kept using it for the last couple years because I didn't feel like re-keying information into a new program. I would recommend a cheaper competitor product, especially if you need to buy an upgraded version to do taxes - turbo tax forces you to buy upgraded versions to access certain forms (ie sold stock during the year). So although turbo tax makes things easy, the costs quickly escalates compared to other products out there, who include many such forms for free. At one time Turbo Tax was worth a premium, but the competition has caught up and even surpassed them in many ways so it seems hard for them to justify the current product pricing.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Cost more than other products.
