Premeir Turbo Tax Review

At 82, I am not eligible for a traditional IRA but it let me enter it.
When I changed it to a ROTH IRA, and entered 8500 at about 3800 it began to increase my tax due. Since when does a contribution to a ROTH increase one's taxes? It has no effect.
What's great about it: It handled everything I needed like I was sitting with my tax man.
What's not so great: Handling of IRA's

Pretty much a positive experience

The process went well. K-1 #16 was difficult to figure out what the program needed since it rejected what was apparent to me.
What's great about it: Questions directed me well
What's not so great: K-1's are difficult to deal with.

I've used Turbo Tax for 10 + years and this was one of the more difficult to use. Once you selected to print a copy, there was no obvious way to return to where you were. I want to do my taxes...not need to relearn how this program runs each year.

Kiddy tax :-(

Preparing a kiddy tax return sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. When attempting to file, TurboTax goes into a loop (Apple system). E-filing kiddy tax appears to be impossible because children lack the required identification documents. A clear way should be provided, such as using a parent's identification, to permit e-filing a kiddy tax return.
What's great about it: Very helpful this year that multiple returns may be open simultaneously
What's not so great: Kiddy tax processing loops, hangs up, doesn't work.
