Worst Turbo Tax in 10 years

I found this Turbo Tax version to be the worst in the 10 years I've been using Tubo Tax. There were several occasions when switching from section to section where the program shut down and either froze or crashed (shut down completely on its own). When you open the program, it does not open the most recent tax return you're working on. There is no way to skip certain sections without going through multiple questions. Even though questions have been answered before, in some cases the answers are missing and need to be reentered. At the very end, I was stuck in an infinite loop where the program asked me to remove certain data for electronic filing. When I removed it, it asked me to input that same data. There was no resolution without deleting the entire DE state tax form and reentering the data. I thought this was supposed to save time, but it just quadrupled the time as i repeated what is asked several times before I was able to finally quit and call Turbo Tax. While the person was helpful, the co-browsing software, tried on two different browsers did not work. This was a very bad experience.
What's great about it: Descent auto transfer of investment information
What's not so great: Program crashed multiple times and glitched in infinite error loop

"TAX DREAD ANNIHILATION"

Each year around Tax time I start to get irritable with the family because of the tediousness and agony of spending hours completing tax forms - this is not something I want to do or like doing. Turbo Tax this year made the task extremely easy and I didn't go through "the pain" - I am very happy with the program and absolutely will be bragging it up to friends. Thank you for doing such a fine job TT programmers.
What's great about it: Very easy to complete and very concise.
What's not so great: None

Taxes made easy

While I've used turbo tax for over 10 years now I am forced to go back to hand method because turbo refuses to continue on explorer.

Makes a complicated process simple

I've used TurboTax for many years now and find it simple to use. I questioned the result it came up with (no federal taxes owed) and went back to the IRS forms to double-check. The program was correct!
In the process of double-checking I struggled to work out where line 5 on schedule A came from. I was deducting state taxes. Help provided an explanation of what can be deducted after which I worked out where the numbers came from. It would have been better to select a number in a form and see how it came to be.
What's great about it: Uploading feature from broker
What's not so great: Finding source of specific entries

Incomplete state forms coverage

Turbotax has to develop a State version of the K-1 form and such supplemental information as the trust fiduciary may provide. This means allowing state forms containing overides to input fiduciary reported additions and subtractions to state income to be filed electronically. Use of overides in state returns being efiled has to be accomodated. One way could be a work sheet to accomodate additions to income and subtractions from income for state tax purposes that will feed into the appropriate areas of the state tax form.
What's great about it: Transferred data from federal to state ok
What's not so great: Would not let over-ride in state form to remain throughout the e-file process

2015 experience

I first started to use the on line program. I completed the information and printed a preview. There I found an error in which I could not fix or receive help from your support system. This went on for several days (2 weeks). Finely, I did talk to a support staff that was knowledgeable and helpful. The process took an 90 minute call and in the end recommended to switch to the down load program and start over. By the way that was good advice. I gave him good reviews but gave the program very negative remarks. Then I found that a down load from a well established broke was the cause of the problem and not the Turbo Tax Program. I really think the user of Turbo Tax should be able to repair or replace information, when you know there is an error in the return.
What's great about it: covers all the bases
What's not so great: lots of questions
