Stock Split Difficulty

When you hold stocks for several years, they may split - - each share may become two or more shares with the price reduced to make the total value the same.
Please modify TurboTax to accommodate that situation.

Less intuitive than before

Incorrectly attempted to get information for installment sales when there were no installment sales. Tried to apply Enron situation whereby there was an improper advance application of sales. Wanted to tax sale of business when there was none. California forms only.
What's great about it: picked up the necessary documents and information from investments and income
What's not so great: incorrectly tried to apply form resulting in hangup

2015 Taxes

Software is great and easy to use. The cost of E-Filing with the State is a high cost as compared to HR-Block.

Indispensable

I've used TT for several years now. Having tried other programs, I find TT by far the clearest, the simplest to follow and the one that provides the most useful information os you proceed. My one gripe is that I start on the online Premiere program, then discover that I must switch to the CD when it comes times to list my security transactions. Why not just mention the online version's limit in number of transactions at the outset, when the customer is selecting the version to purchase?

Longtime Turbotax User

I have used TurboTax for many years, probably 20+. Our tax situations have changed many times over these years requiring different, more complicated detail. TurboTax has always provided the support I needed to file complete Federal and State tax returns. In recent years I also completed tax returns for my two children and they are delighted they don't have to pay $350 to file a simple return.
What's great about it: Professional, easy to use, affordable, e-file free
What's not so great: None, gets better every year
