Over printing

We don't have a State income tax.
Filed electronically. So I only need one copy.
For some reason TT decides I need two copies. 40 extra pages of wasted paper I don't want or need.
What's great about it: Asks if you want a copy for you records--good idea.
What's not so great: Then if prints two copies!

I've used Turbotax for years. Easy and complete. In the past I've asked accountant friends of mine to review my return, just to be sure, and when they hear that I use Turbotax they tell me not to bother.
Never had a problem going through it, never had a problem filing, just a great, great product!
What's great about it: Very easy to use with resources available if you have any questions.
What's not so great: Too freakin' thorough! Adds another 20-30 minutes to the process but you get everything you're entitled to.

I have been using TT for over 20 years and it gets better every year. I had some difficulty filing in by 1099B forms because I didn't understand the instructions. But after careful study I worked it out.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Some instructions too vague

Easy Navigation

Have been using Turbo Tax since 2001. Software appeared much easier to navigate this year. Didn't have any problems as in years past. Importing feature worked great.. Also walked me through a home sale. All in all quite impressed this year! Thank you for a great product.
What's great about it: Navigation seemed much easier than in years past
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments, I moved

Turbo Tax Premier

Turbo Tax Premier imported minimal info from my previous Turbo Tax return. 99% of the info from 2014 was reflected as $00.0. I have used Turbo Tax for years. This is a first.
I restarted my tax return 3 times trying to get more info imported. Just didn't happen. No, I did not save my return in PDF format.
Really disappointed.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Would not import from previous tax return

Big improvement getting schedule D info input by IRS?
Turbo's software was ugly after completing the final review and attempting to have the refund direct deposited and paying the Fed filing fee with a credit card.

I have used Turbo for 10 years or more and it is getting better and next year will hopefully have more improvements.
What's great about it: IRS hasd now done much of the work getting schedule D detail into the system. Great improvement.
What's not so great: no major problems until finishing
