What's great about it: Takes the worry out of handling investment income
What's not so great: Disappointed that state efile is an extra charge
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Still a great tax prep program. Each year, it gets easier to use! You make it more user friendly each time. And, great tax guidance along the way.

Yet Again

I've used this product for many years, but the last couple of years it has bad bugs. This year every time I tried to check for updates the program would lock up. I finally had to download them separately. I lived in 2 different states and it was extremely difficult to figure out how to divide the figures and what they were asking. I had to purchase the 2nd state, only to find out I owed nothing and had to pay nothing. A total waste of time, money and effort. I knew I didn't have to file the one state because I'm retired, but it wouldn't let me do the other state without doing both. I doubt I will use Turbo Tax in the future. Not a great value.
What's great about it: Since I've used before, all of my old information transferred easily.
What's not so great: Updater never worked properly. Partial residency in 2 states horrible to figure out.

Maybe too easy

way too easy to submit w/o really having a good understanding of some of the underlying reason for taxes, deductions and other requirements.
Know trying to get to the underlying requirements is often difficult, however I would feel more comfortable with a better understanding of calculations ,,,,e.g. AMT
What's great about it: simplified return with only having to submit necessary paper work
What's not so great: need more explanation on why

Good

The software had a few bugs in transmitting new updates, opening previously started returns, and performing calculations. I had to close and reopen the software several times to gets past these issues. In previous years using the software I did not have any of these type of problems but it appeared to work fine once I got past these issues.
What's great about it: Seemed to be thorough
What's not so great: Not as refined

Turbo tax is so kind, gentle, easy, and very thorough. I look forward to doing my taxes every year. I just love it. I have been trying to get my friends to give it a try there will be no regrets.
What's great about it: So easy
What's not so great: It's hard to think of any maybe next year

As easy as expected

Only comment was that I entered $130,000.00 as schedule A deduction and it would have been nice if anything over $10,000 would at least ask you if you really meant that amount. I caught my error in review so no harm no foul.
What's great about it: Handles all that I need
