Slight problem

Everything went well with entries except for one section of modified 1099. there was an entry for an item that generated no income. TurboTax generated an untitled 1099-B form. this form showed errors when review was started. Spent sevaral hours trying to resolve errors until I went to forms view. Isaw that it said not to use the 1099-B part that I was trying to resolve. I deleted the untitled form, retuned to regular view and saw no errors. I repeated the return review and agin no errors. eFilled without any problems.
The item that caused the problem was a dividend offer that would allow holders to purchase at a calculated price. I declined the offer but the offer showed in my portfolio, thus the 1099-B entry.
What's great about it: Quick, easy and covered all areas
What's not so great: Problem with data not reported to IRS

Tax magic

Have been completing our tax process with the use of Turbo Tax for many years now. I am not very tech savvy . Used computers at work, but never took a class other than learning the program we used at work. Now that we are retired we find that things are becoming more complicated for us. Program writers are expecting the average basses of understanding. However I am 70 and do not have that skill. In addition, there was a a refund that I answered , but it was sent to me from the state incorrectly I couldn't move forward by leaving things blank I needed to answer it. It took a long time to correct the issue.
What's great about it: walks me through process so I know what to answer
What's not so great: Getting more complicated for the not tech savvy

On-line help from Turbo-Tax customer service

I did not realized that the on-line version of Turbo-Tax could not recall tax information automatically from the previous year CD version. Your customer service representative identified my misunderstanding, showed me a straightforward solution and helped me implement the solution rapidly.
Anyone, with experience in contacting on-line software customer service reps, can recognize my appreciation for such a positive experience. Thank you!!!

Health Insurance - got lost ; Evantually system got right.
Why pay penalty for not having healthcare after loosing the job at end of Feb sudenly. Those 2 month income has immaterial to for future budget restrictions. Once a victim falls from tree, a bull comes and attack.

Tax time made easy

TurboTax is always very clear and easy to use. I have been using it for many years, and have done not just my taxes but also my parents. I have recommended TurboTax to many of my friends and relatives.
