What's not so great: Wish I wish had more control and a way of previewing the forms at any time

Got Everything Back!

I've been using TurboTax for years and few disappointments. This year successfully imported 2014 and made things much easier as opposed to unsuccessful import of 2013 into 2014 taxes. Options to stop at anytime and pick up later are great. Option to walkthrough all steps or be guided provides choice. The only problem after review was a Calif worksheet that came up with one line highlighted. The message was cryptic and there was no help available. Wound up guessing AMT was alternative minimum tax and confirmed it with an accountant friend of mine. Entered zero and finished my taxes successfully! The hardest part is gathering all information and paperwork!
What's great about it: Previous year's import and item by item walk through
What's not so great: No explanation or help on a worksheet problem - hard to know

TurboTax 2015

I have used TurboTax for over ten years and wouldn't use anything else to do my taxes. It's easy to use and accurate. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do their own taxes.

Simple yet Thorough

Simple, easy to use and virtually goof proof. Walks you through every step, has links to answer any question you can think of. I have been using it for years for both my personal and business taxes. I love the way it transfers all the prior years data over and compares along the way, helps me to not miss or forget anything that could save me money.
What's great about it: Walks you through every step.

Love doing my taxes with Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years. I like how the software builds on your last year return. The questions and forms are based on your previous tax situation which prepares you during completion and preparation for next year. The format helps you to organize the forms and receipts you will use to complete your tax returns. Electronic filing saves the hassle of printing and mailing any paperwork.
What's great about it: Builds off previous year info and almost automatically completes your state return.
What's not so great: Electronic transmission gets slow near tax deadline.

Turbo Tax: the good bad and ugly

I've been using TT for many years. Love it. The updates each year are good.
I think it may be my own navigation issues, but I do have a hard time finding exactly what I want to go back to.
I also had an issue with Royalties for leased oil rites, but I finally figured it out.
Otherwise the instructions are very smooth and clear!
What's great about it: It's all good
What's not so great: No bad or ugly - OK just one, I sometimes have a hard time going back to review something.
