Excellent Work

TurboTax has excellent materials to take me through the details I need to put into my reported income tax file.
What's great about it: Appreciated the fine details in helping to work through the taxes
What's not so great: Though shorter time than other years, still tedious.

I've tried all of them out there and have found Turbo Tax to be the easiest to use and am able to find the answers I need.
What's great about it: Easy to us and informative.
What's not so great: none

Federal was fine.

It felt like you deliberately made choosing file by mail on state returns difficult. I did not appreciate that.
What's great about it: Federal was easy enough,
What's not so great: State was troublesome to use mail in ourselves to save 24.95.

I have been using Turbotax for longer than I can remember, but it is always so easy. I just love it. I don't know why people pay so much to have someone else do their returns.
What's great about it: I like how Turbotax can bring my information over from the prior year. Really simplifies things.

HR Block Tax Pro Review

As usual TTAX experience was helpful and supportive. I have free access to HR Block Blockworks but choose the privacy of TTAX as well as many years of confidence in the software.
What's great about it: Ease in data entry. Detailed interview for both pros and starters.
What's not so great: Almost every time I logged on to continue my taxes I faced a very large download of an upgraded TTAX version; a waste.

TurboTax 2015

It would be nice if TurboTax could extract all information from previous year so you did not have to go to the paper backup to get the information you need. Had at least two cases where I had to look up information from previous years returns.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Does not seem to be able to extract all information from previous year
