Solid Product

There was note relating to energy tax credit that referred to the instructions, but did not have a link to get there. It was convoluted and I ended up going to the Internet and finding the instructions from the IRS directly. I recall in years past it was much easier to find the form instructions from within Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Interview is very helpful
What's not so great: Should be easier to jump to form instructions

A little too easy

I have used Turbo Tax for years, it makes the process straight forward and as painless as possible. My only issue is that it feels a little too easy, they layer between the user interface and the actual tax form seems thick to the point that it makes me wonder if everything is being calculated correctly. I wish there was a mode that would outline that process for guys like me.
What's great about it: Straight forward, step by step instructions
What's not so great: Does not feel transparent enough to give confidence.

Missing AZ State Tax credit forms

Turbo Tax is a handy tool but is pricey and is missing key elements of state tax credits. E-file and refund transfers to cover fees are pricey. Carry over from year to year is valuable but I had to back fit 2014 taxes manually from pdf file before starting 2015 since I lost 2014 Turbo tax file during a bad Windows 10 upgrade, forgot to follow advise to copy key files before upgrading.
What's great about it: Carry over from previous years
What's not so great: Missing AZ State Tax Credit forms & missing 2014 tax year file do to bad Windows 10 update.

made filing easy

I have used TurboTax for the last 15 years, it is great. It use to be a hassle, especially do CA taxes. Now it just transfers all the information. Many of my friends use a tax preparer but this is easier and less expensive. .
What's great about it: easy to use, especially for filing CA taxes

I am a fan of TurboTax and have been so since its inception!
What's great about it: Program guides me through the tax forms and has great links to answer almost all of my questions!
What's not so great: it takes time -- but less than my having to figure out government forms!
