Handled extremely complicated returns

Turbo Tax is the only way I'll go with tax returns until I'm too old to remember to do them. It is a great product and can handle virtually the entire exercise.
What's great about it: TurboTax had the answers and got me past areas I thought weren't covered. Way to go.

What's great about it: straightforward
What's not so great: filling out your surveys and being told nickname already taken
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great for most people, community answers rock!

Great for most people. The step-by-step guides really help you figure out what you need to enter
However, I found some of the interview questios lacking. TurboTax can be confusing if your filing status has changed from MFJ to MFS, or if you are type A (like me) and need to understand all the implications of each item.

Easy to follow

Turbo Tax is easy to use and makes an otherwise painful filing process a little bit easier. We used the deductions tool for the first time this year (additional tool) and it made the charitable donations process much easier.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I still have to pay taxes :-)

messed up on my 529 account

It did a great job on most things, which I appreciate.
The one thing that was completely off was that it didn't accept the tuition from my 1098-T against my 529 income from 1099-Q, so it tried to charge me a whole lot of extra taxes. It took me hours to track down the problem and quite a while to figure out how to hack the program's input so it would do the right thing. That isn't ok.
What's great about it: I can get around in it pretty easily since I've used it for many years
What's not so great: messed up on my 529 account's info

Easy Process

I decided to file myself this year. The program was easy to follow and walked me through each area of my worksheets with easy to follow steps. I highly recommend Turbo tax.

OK but could be better

I've been using TurboTax for years. It seems like it was easier in the past to find the source of line items when you clicked on them. Not so simple now.
