same issue for too many years

Why can quicken have file passwords and not for Turbo Tax? Your tax file is more important to protect than quicken files. This makes no sense. Fix this please..........
What's great about it: easy for most folks tax returns

been using it for years. It does a great job. Easy to use and reliable. No problems filing ever.
What's great about it: Easy to do Mostly made sense
What's not so great: Asked for info that was not on forms
Pros: I bought or sold investments

NOt much change
The import feature is less good this year. several of our recurring year dividend payers (stocks, insurance) did not come forward from last year as they did in the past, so they name address etc of payer had to be entered manually

otherwise, similar interface, reasonably straight forward
What's great about it: similar interface
What's not so great: updates from last year poor--didn't include all dividend payers, etc so they had to be entered manually

Always Thorough

It was a pain having to delete my W2, and re-enter because one box had a zero in it. Should have been able to just delete the zero and leave the box empty instead of re-doing the whole form. Otherwise, it's a great program. I've been using it successfully for over 10 years.
What's great about it: good details, easy to use
What's not so great: deleting a number
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I highly recommend this product. What took countless hours completing manually was done in no time.

Getting Too Bloated

This version of TurboTax is so procedural, that it has become very difficult to use. If you are missing any form, or screw up a detail, good luck trying to fix it. This was certainly the worst year for me and TurboTax.

Complicated tax situation... not at all!

I thought I was going to have a difficult tax situation this year as I changed jobs, moved all of my financial investments to another firm, and sold company stock. My wife re-entered the work force, and we switched health providers and floated for two months.
Well, it was not a problem at all. In fact, I got a refund...albeit a small one. I was not expecting that. Turbo Tax walked me through all the steps, and I was able to bounce around at will to work on areas that I wanted to focus on as the forms from the institutions I work with became available. So, instead of one nerve-wracking session to get things done, Turbo Tax made it very easy to work on the return at my leisure.
I have been using Turbo Tax for my entire working career...over 20 years now. It has never let me down. Not once. I have been using Premier for the past two years...well worth the money.
Thank you Intuit!
What's great about it: Detailed walkthroughs and help
What's not so great: nada
