T-Tax is very good. So far, if i use all of the step by step forms, cant miss a thing. unfortunately, still pay too much tax, I think, but dont have much more to deduct.
And have used it for over 20 yrs with no problems, including K-1s and amended returns.

Straight forward - Unsure K1 data entry correct...

Overall my experience with Turbo Tax was awesome! It was easy until TurboTax was checking my state forms. Several prompts were made for information about long term capital gains that I was unsure where to find. Unfortunately, there was no help button on those pages to direct me. I hope I correctly figured it out!
What's great about it: Almost everything was easy.
What's not so great: Handling K1s on the state forms did not offer help to explain

2015 TurboTax bad

In prior years TurboTax worked well.
This year I kept losing document data, multiple times. Have no idea what is wrong.
Had to go back and start from the beginning, several times. Awful.
Will be looking for something else next year.

Was able to do my long form taxes in one day, which included brokerage accounts, long and short term losses on stocks, etc.

Easy Tax Experience

I've used Turbo Tax for about 10 years. Been through 3 computers and the transfer of data worked easily for PC to PC and PC to MAC. Beats Manual filing by a mile! Especially like the import of investment data feature.
What's great about it: Transferred available old data
What's not so great: It's all good

Easy to Use and Work Through Difficult US Taxes

We have been using TurboTax for 27 years. Its a solid product and is very easy to use. The tax laws have gotten significantly more complex and TurboTax goes right through it easily for the user. I also like to see how we have done over several years (gives a comparison year to year). Because we have some investments/IRAs we had to purchase the "Premier" version this year. That means more cost. In previous years, since you purchased the product, you got the state return efiling for free - this is no longer the case. So the costs were significantly higher this year for the product and filing than previous years. I'm not sure if this is a good value as compared to HR Block software or other vendors and will do more research in the future on cost. These additional costs are the only reason its not 5 stars. I would recommend it for others to use - but be aware of the costs.
