Was Unable to Efile after 20 attempts

The efile process was unfriendly to say the least. I finally gave up and will mail the forms.

TurboTax - still room for improvement

I continue to dread tax time each year. TurboTax has made this easier over the 10 or more years I have been using, but the product still is deficient in how it accepts K1 data provided by limited partnerships. As a partner, I assume information in K1 is correct and enter into TT as provided in .txf or hard copy formats. TT error review insists the information inputed is incorrect and asks for modifications to the K1s. I don't understand why this problem persists each year. Of course, one could also fault our IRS in requiring this convoluted form of income reporting.
What's great about it: getting better at accepting data downloads from brokers, etc.
What's not so great: TT will not accept data from limited partnerships as provided to partners in K1 forms

I had a number of situations this year (sell of house, purchase house, investment sales, etc) and turbo tax was able to handle all with ease.
What's great about it: Quick, detailed, helpful, able to handle a large number of unique situations
What's not so great: none

What's great about it: well stuctured, good ability to flip between data entry questions & forms
What's not so great: Dividend & interest sources can not be alphabetized which is paricularly difficult when importing names from previous yr

Comparative analysis missing this year

In past years, the effective overall tax rate and comparisons with other taxpayers in our tax bracket were given. We were disappointed that these were not included this year.
