Worked Well

TurboTax Premier was easy to complete. The only problem I had that was difficult to get around was the 1099-MISC items went automatically to Business, Schedule C. We did not have a business, but 1099's were for bonuses and a little part time work.
What's great about it: Easy to complete
What's not so great: Had trouble with 1099-MISC automatically going to schedule C

Have used turbo tax for many years. Sometimes the step-by-step guide could be designed better and let you go to the exact location of where the input (answers to questions) shows up in the return or on any of the tax forms,
Over all a good product.
Wished they would give you one free state e-file as part of the package cost!
What's great about it: Easy to input and improves each year
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to locate input using step-by-step

I've been using TurboTax Premier for years to do Fed and NY taxes. Fed was easy and NY was even easier since the data entered for the Fed was put into the state - BUT - I wasted a ton of time trying to get IT-2105 forms to print out. Even going into the forms and putting the information in did not help. I finally gave up and e-filed without getting the vouchers to print. This has to be fixed. I also had to repeat the steps to get Turbo to recognize that I wanted to assign my tax overpay to next years taxes many times. No problems with the Fed.

For over 65 eyes the print is too small. Hard to read. Really do Not like: when reviewing what has been entered, the questions revert back to default instead of what you answered previously. Hard sometimes to remember what you answered before.
What's great about it: Good calculations
What's not so great: Hard to read
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Really easy to import all the data; especially when working with rental property and Schedule K-1's from limited partnerships.
What's great about it: Straight forward, easy to import data, very self-explanatory
What's not so great: I printed copies of state and federal and the very tops of the forms were cut off. Nver had this happen before
Pros: I bought or sold investments
