Efficient

What's great about it: Great price for complicated filings
What's not so great: Needed help on transfering data between optional filings.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

A mixed bag

Two Issues:
1)The lack of backward compatibility to last year's MAC OS caused me a lot of inconvenience.

I.E. although my MAC was running just fine last year you required me to upgrade it to OS10.11.4. for this year which created new problems that I was trying to avoid.
Ironically, the same thing happened last year which forced me to spend several hours in a MAC store them.
Rest assured, I'll be checking the box very carefully next year.
2) Disk problem per the assist case noted above.
A great product. Please don't make me change my OS for a 3rd time.

Even though I had to pay, the process was painless

I've used TurboTax for about 10 years now. It's gotten better and easier year after year. One thing, I don't like is my state return used to be free for E filing and now there is a substantial fee to do so. I've now reverted back to filing by mail for my state return. The cost isn't worth it. Besides, I live in Illinois and my state is broke. It doesn't make sense to pay to file electronically for a $50 refund that I won't get for months anyways.
What's great about it: Intuitive
What's not so great: Printing selective forms seems cumbersome.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's not so great: entering the information for foreign taxes paid credit is not straight forward, easier to enter manually

I HAV E BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR MANY YEARS BECAUSE OF ITS' TRUST WORTHY, ACURATE , SAFE AND LOW PRICE.
What's great about it: EASY PROCESS AND DETAILED INFORMATION

Great Tool for Multiple Returns

I've used T-Tax for more than 10 years. Still the BEST. This year I had to add new depreciable property to our rental house schedules and file a return for a deceased parent. PREMIER had just what I needed. Also useful for our two household returns. I'll definitely use T-Tax again next year.
What's great about it: Excellent HELP features, like how to file for a deceased parent.
What's not so great: A bit hard to find out how to report unusual income (patronage dividend).

Thorough Process

I was surprised to find that only two of the four tax returns I prepared in 2014 transferred to the 2015 tax prep program. I'm not sure if I failed to save the returns correctly.
What's great about it: I liked being able to choose what I worked on and when
What's not so great: Don't like to have to go to the end to see Print/Preview of a form that I've entered to see if it is correct.
