I Have been using turbo tax for many years using windows on a PC this year I switched to an apple mac and found the program a bit more difficult. I am now 89 years old and retired since 1995 and probably not as sharp as I have been in the past.
What's not so great: I found this years program a little bit more dificult than past years

Disposal of Rental

Sold a rental home I had had for a number of years. Some of the method of accounting for costs were not readily apparent in the interview method, much digging in the help section was necessary. Also, because IRA funds were used to pay for some repairs/updates and the funds were re-deposited within the non-taxable window, it was not immediately apparent as to how to handle those funds.
Over all TurboTax is a GREAT program! I have used for years and the time it takes to do a relatively complex tax return is significantly less.
What's great about it: Ease of access and help
What's not so great: Some entries are not immediately available
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Explanation of "Cons" In federal Return, after running error check etc, I wanted to have an amount of refund applied to next year's tax. I could not go back to make this change. The info tab directed me to directions for making the change. I did so but then the program would not let me file electronically because it was an amended return. Fortunately I was able to get back to the original return and file electronically without making the applied tax from refund change.
In my state return for NH there are two forms, DP10 and Business Tax. Mistakenly I continued to the business tax section after doing the DP10 questions. I do not want a business form to be part of the state return ( do not have a business. I could not delete this section.
Lastly, in the DP10 section the program transfers "Exempt-interest dividends" from the Federal Return. This amount is not correct for NH which only exempts NH based interest, and not all Federal.
What's great about it: Great guidance (information needed and why)
What's not so great: I was unable to change some input
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Your programs have gotten easier to use each year since you first came out with this program which I have used every year since the start.
I really think we should not have to pay for the State Efile since we pay so much for the oveall program.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: paying for State E file

I Have been using Turbo Tax for a lot of years on windows. I switched to the apple mac this year and the program seemed a bit harder to handle. The fact that i am now almost 89 years old and retired since 1995 may have something to do with it.
What's not so great: I found the program a bit more difiacult this year
