BAD BAD experience

Worse experience I have ever had with turboTax and I have used it for 10+ years. I. Couldn't get the program to work. The first time I went through the program it NEVER checked my work to see if it was correct. I do believe the disc I received is a defective program. Occassionaly it would work and then seem to forget what it was doing????? Very frustrating! Hope next years product is up to your usual standards!
What's great about it: A tech eventually got it to work with minor problems.
What's not so great: Program just did not preform as previous years. Errors too many to list.

TurboTax Comes Through Again!

I've been using TurboTax for years. And I mean YEARS. I find it easy and F A S T to use, even with complicated returns for some years--Cap Gains...multi-state returns, etc.
I love it!
What's great about it: Easy to use. Fast import of prior year info. Easy Step is JUST THAT EASY!
What's not so great: None!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments, I moved

K-1 Reporting in TurboTax

I've used TurboTax for years but the K-1 support has me beginning to look for other options. The problem is entering and reviewing the K-1's.
What's great about it: Handles W2 and 1099 forms well
What's not so great: Poor support for entering and reviewing K-1 forms

Easy to use, just one complaint

One small issue, I was not able to view the payment options for my state return until after e-filing my federal return. Credit card is available as a payment option for federal returns, but not for my state (Maryland). I was planning to use a credit card to pay my state tax due. Would have liked to be made aware ahead of time that credit card was not available as an option for my state return.
What's great about it: Very easy to input data and get accurate results
What's not so great: Small issue with payment methods for state return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

We have very detailed taxes and young adult children. I appreciate being able to complete my own taxes, although complicated, and to do theirs on the same software at no extra cost. The software is easy to use.
What's great about it: The easy of walking me through each item
What's not so great: none

Excellent product

I have been using TurboTax software since 2005. Every year it improves. I had new items this year (rental property) that I thought was going to be problematic but the TurboTax product handled this very easily.
What's great about it: Question based, easy to use, comprehensive review
What's not so great: none
