I started using Turbo Tax software to file Tax return since 2010. It's like I have my personal Tax adviser by my side and I couldn't complete my Tax return without Turbo Tax. Thank you so much for your help! Definitely I will refer Turbo Tax to everyone that asks for my "trick".
What's great about it: Guided me step by step at tax filing

The software has made doing taxes so much easier. It keeps track of my stock for me, what I paid last year, health insurance information changes, etc. I don't have to keep going to the post office or hunting through the IRS data base to see if I have found the correct information. What a relief!
What's great about it: Information carried over from last return, Yay!
What's not so great: Any time I have to type info

Quick trustworthy

Been using Turbo Tax for several years now and never had a problem filing our federal tax returns. Before, I used to do our returns by hand and mail them in, very time consuming. Now with Turbo Tax I'm led quickly through the input and I can trust the results. Worth it and will be back next year.

Easy to follow

Super easy! They've made it even easier than it was a few years ago. Answered all my tough questions like: depreciation of part of my rental house.
What's great about it: Answered all my rental income & depreciation questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great program with some very aggravating glitches

1. I did a Turbo Tax Business return this year. No Problem.
Great. Thank goodness since the rules are way beyond my knowledge.
2. I did the Federal and CA State returns for 2 families. With one family with very complicated entries I really messed up (my fault) and wanted to start over with a clean slate. Starting over with a new form not related to 2014 was possible. But no way to delete my first 2015 return from the file. It is annoying seeing it and I hope I don't open it by mistake later in the year.
3. For both family returns I could not pay for Audit Defense on line. This was very upsetting with the first one and I had to call in. Online help was good: I think. They told me I COULD buy it online even after I efiled, which is not what your program says. I had the same problem with the second family. Didn't call. I just removed it from the screen.
Tomorrow (4/1/16) I'll learn if paying for Audit Defense after efiling is really possible. If it is GREAT. But you shouldn't say it isn't possible on the program. If NOT? I will be VERY UNHAPPY and probably won't recommend the program as enthusiastically as I always have.

What's great about it: I've been doing my family's personal and business taxes for 52 years and could not possibly know all the rules like 1963
What's not so great: 1. If one makes a messy error, you can't delete the whole return and start over.

Printing tax payment vouchers for federal and state should occur at the time payment is to occur. All to often the amount changes at the time of payment.

One and Done

I still don't like preparing my taxes but if you are going to do it yourself this is the way to go. Most years it's almost pleasurable but when you do something new like install solar on your house you will need to do a little research. For example, using the help function explained the tax credit but not where to enter it, google helped with that. I am nit picking, did I mention I like the program and have been using it for at least a dozen years.
