Our taxes are complex (way more than they should be) and there is no way that I could complete our return without TurboTax. I've been using it for eight years or more.
What's great about it: Great step by step process

Tax Easy

I like Turbo Tax. I use it every year.
What's great about it: The walk through and help features makes the process easier for steps and forms you are not sure about.
What's not so great: More visuals of forms and examples during tax preparation
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have been using Turbo Tax since 2011. I had been doing my own taxes for 30 plus years and decided to use a CPA. Did that for 5 years and realized that he was just using a computer program and asking questions. I thought, I can do that! Well Turbo Tax was the first program that I tried and I won't go to any other. I can do it in the privacy of my own home. I don't have to reveal my personal information to someone else and it takes a lot less time that the old fashioned pencil and paper. Thanks for making a program affordable to the ordinary citizens that is efficient and fast. The updates were wonderful. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: So easy to understand. I asked a question through the "help" search bar and was completely satisfied with the answer.
What's not so great: cannot think of any

First Time with TurboTax

Keeping this review brief - after years of paying 'pros' (who were probably just feeding my well organized records into this very program); I decided to give TurboTax a try.
Most items were handled easily by the program, and I was pleased with the refund amount! My biggest headaches came from trying to process a 1099-PATR check not related to a Farm Business or Schedule C. I'd like to see this handled as seamlessly as other 1099s in the future. Likewise with the NY Property Tax Freeze Credit, for which the interview question came up ridiculously late in the process. Both items had vague help coverage thanks to other users, but again, it would be nice if these items were handled better through the early steps of TurboTax. I will be purchasing it again...
What's great about it: Overall Ease of Use
What's not so great: Some areas need improvement...

What's great about it: Used Federal info to auto fill State and Local tax forms.Taxes Suck, but this software made it less painful
What's not so great: Price for the software - I hate paying for something that I need to pay taxes

Need K-1 section to be easier to understand

It's Deductible is very helpful in pricing donations.
