I can't imagine doing my taxes the manual way! The only thing I could not do was figure out where the capital gain for my NM return was coming from during the interview. I could not find the number anywhere on my state or federal forms so figured it did not make any difference to the resulting tax computation. It would be nice if your state return forms had the magnifying glass feature that allows you to "drill down" to find the source of the values like you have on the federal side.
What's great about it: Comprehensive, well integrated program - as usual
What's not so great: Lack of traceability of values on the state return
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I was asked questions that were irrelevant on K-1s. It was confusing. That section was too long and confusing.
ALSO, why was I not given an option of applying my refund to 2016 Est. tax pmts.?
What's great about it: easy to use, thorough, covers most subjects
What's not so great: need to work on k-1s

Would be helpful if explanations of State Returns (e.g. explain this) were as good as the Fed Returns

What's not so great: sometimes hard to get someone in person to talk answering questions - we have been disconnected after long wait
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
