Easy to use

Over all very simple to use. As put in the cons need to have an easy way to get to the questions asked at the beginning of each area. Once those were answered I could not figure how to go back to change an answer easily They should show up each time a person opens that category.
What's great about it: My husband died last year and he always did the taxes. Turbo Tax made it less stressful for me to figure out how to do
What's not so great: Could not figure out how to get to the questions to change an answer at the beginning of each area
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Follow step by step. Let Turbo Tax guide you thru it. And at the end if you have a very low risk of an audit, then don't buy the audit defense. Just smile and move on...
What's great about it: Guide me thru certain areas... and guartees
What's not so great: Not feeling as confident as hiring a CPA to do it

I would have appreciated having the initial charge for Turbo Tax include the state tax e-file charge, rather than finding that out only at the end.
What's great about it: Getting much of previous year's info. automatically

my 2014 tax return DATA FILE was there, but no data (except personal info) was ever recovered from the file -- this caused many problems.
What's great about it: using preferences: could increase forms size by 200%
What's not so great: could NOT increase interactive ʻwalk throughʻ dialog size

Following the step by step process gets the forms for Fed & State completed. Using the search to understand something or to find where to insert something usually gets the answer quickly.
What's great about it: Step by step covers all the requirements
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Still don't understand why some income is in Oklahoma when I am a non-resident and only have a mineral interest there. Had trouble when I checked Not Oklahoma Income. Since I didn;t claim any property taxes this year and will next, would like to be able to easily estimate for next year and only pay on the estimated taxes.
What's great about it: The math is correct. About 8th time to use and went smoothly this year.
What's not so great: Would still like to be able to do an Estate Trust 1041 & 1041 K-1, in the same package as 1040.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
