Just prior to submitting my review, I decided to save a .pdf copy. When saving, I was surprised that it told me "there were errors"! I went back to do another "review" and it found 3 errors on one of my W2 forms: no zip code, no city, no state. I corrected them and then went through the transmit process. But had I not decided to save the .pdf, I would have hit "transmit" and it would have been sent with these errors!
Please do more software QA!
BTW, it is way too easy to accidentally "exit" without actually transmitting the returns. This needs to be fixed as well.

Great for preparing taxes yourself

Have been using this software for six years, had someone else prepare my taxes before that. It is really a great product if you want to do taxes yourself. Wish I could file my local taxes with this as well.
What's great about it: Intuitive, full of information, consistent. Ask the pros and the community options are great.
What's not so great: You have to pay to file state taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I had a baby

Excellent customer support

My third time filing with Turbo Tax. It is easy to use and does a very good job maximizing refunds. I live in Oregon and contributed to an IDA. The software did not calculate my tax credit correctly and I needed a manual fix. Customer support was very helpful, but this would have been an easy miss.
What's great about it: Easy to use, excellent customer support
What's not so great: Software made an erroneous calculation I caught and needed to work with customer support

The only problem is that the list of options always starts at the top of the list. Otherwise this is a fine program.
What's great about it: Option to go through all the possiblities
What's not so great: Did not compress or automatically go down to next option

Love the integration with It's Deductible, references to IRA publications and online chat support.
What's great about it: simple to setup, transfer from year to year
What's not so great: paying for state efiling
