Turbo Tax IS the right choice!

been using many years now and love it. had a little trouble with retirement area, but figured it out. did not feel it was as transparent as I am use to with turbo tax. We use to spend hundreds of dollars to have our taxes prepared. I recommend it to everyone I know.
What's great about it: step by step
What's not so great: retirement area a bit confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall It found many deductions I didn't know about.
Like the first year depreciation on carpet special rate.

Great to A Point

A usual the product is out standing in its comprehensive scope that makes sure you leave nothing out.
Two issues:
Two issues:
1) Terminology in questions/steps involved in sale of a rental property was confusing as was the process for accounting for the associated improvements for the property..i.e Kept referring to my "Main Home" this is a rental property not my main home; how you interpreted that affected the answer .Same issues in CA return
2) Review corrections get into a sel-perpetuating cycle that can keep repeating. i.e. Says 2 corrections, you correct. Now there's a 3rd correction. Correct that and it now repeats the first two corrections. Solution was another field on the form that thereview wasn't even citing! Same in CA
1&2 above all associated with sale of rental property. Thank god I have no more rentals or I'd be looking to replace TurboTax.
What's great about it: Comprehensive, Great Step by Step
What's not so great: Confusing Questions, Review Repeats

Once records are in order, entering tax information is easy as Turbotax guides you through all the steps as well as reminding you to enter information pertaining to your particular circumstances.
What's great about it: Easy no hassle tax preparation
What's not so great: hard to correct some errors

It seems there are more & more added charges each year. Easy to use program.
