Mostly great -- however, ...

I'm a retired Air Force pilot, with an IQ of 137.I've always done my own taxes, and have used TurboTax for the past 10 years. Almost every feature is intuitive and easy to use, with adequate help and advice where needed. But trying to account for several pieces oil and gas royalty income is absolutely maddening. Today I spent almost 6 hours on TurboTax, and fully 4 of those hours were spent trying to reconcile 1099-MISC and Schedule E inputs so that the correct numbers sere shown in the final analysis. Terrible! I'd love to discuss my issues with an expert in the area.
What's great about it: Handled almost everything with ease.
What's not so great: Horrendous on oil and gas royalty.

Relaxed Again

I hate doing the annual taxes, but I think Turbo Tax is even easier than when we used a flesh and blood accountant. I allows me to look up the items I forgot to include as I go though the program. Accountants charge for this time.
What's great about it: Makes filing understood by someone with NO accounting background!
What's not so great: They change the format a little each year.

Ultimately took several hours due to international stocks in our portfolio and dual military status. For only $90 more could have had returns prepared by CPA with MFJ v MFS comparison and no time spent adding up the income/div from each int'l stock and the taxes paid to each different foreign country.
What's great about it: clean lay out, loads quickly
What's not so great: cumbersome for foreign stocks, military

Excellent and Easy

TurboTax is excellent, easy and intuitive software to use. I have used TurboTax for 20 years and continue to recommend it enthusiastically to family, friends and colleagues.
What's great about it: Simple and intuitive - just need to answer the questions
What's not so great: Some explanations for more technical items could be written by using less jargon and "legalese."

excellent user experience. I filed for my wife and I, an adult child in law school, an adult child and his wife, in another state, both busy in their careers, an adult child that moved across country and had income in two states, an elderly mother that had significant passive income. All of their unique situations were handled efficiently and thoroughly.
What's great about it: multiple states with adult kids all over the country
What's not so great: efile costs

This is the best version to date -- clear and easy to use. I've used TurboTax since the mid 90's.

Not excited

After downloading Turbo Tax it could not locate my previous year data (2014). I needed to 'guide it' to it.
It also tried many times to install updates without success. Kept getting a warning that 'update failed'.
At one point, when trying to open the program by double-clicking on it, it would freeze and not open. That happened many times. Finally I duplicated the file so I could resume the process.
The 'Charity' module needs work. Does not let me change the date; had to delete and resubmit.
State tax filing purchase keeps getting more expensive each year.
I am a Mac user (OS X El Capitan). Maybe your software was not properly evaluated with my OS.
In all, not a pleasant experience this year. You'll get one more chance next year. If no improvement is noted I'll be looking elsewhere.
What's great about it: Used it many times before so I'm familiar with the process
What's not so great: Last couple years i've encountered a number of 'bugs'
